Biography
Charles L. Butler, III, earned his B.S. in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and his J.D. from the Willamette University College of Law in Salem, Oregon. During law school, Mr. Butler served as Executive Editor of the Willamette Journal of International Law & Dispute Resolution. Upon his admission to practice law in Washington, Mr. Butler began working as an attorney for K&L Gates in Seattle and then clerked for the Honorable Judge Bruce E. Heller of the King County Superior Court. Before joining Hacker & Willig, Mr. Butler served as a Deputy Assistant Prosecuting Attorney with the Office of the King County Prosecuting Attorney in Seattle. Mr. Butler is an experienced litigator. At Hacker & Willig, Mr. Butler has represented local, regional, and national lenders on broad-ranging legal issues including commercial litigation; collection; loan origination, sale, and participation; and bankruptcy. Mr. Butler is a member of the King County Bar Association and Federal Bar Association, is licensed to practice law in Oregon and Washington, and regularly appears in regional state, federal, and appellate courts.
